Marwa Extrait: A Stronger-Performing Louis Vuitton Imagination Dupe

Arabiyat Prestige Marwa Extrait puts a fuller, longer-wearing spin on the citrus-and-tea style fans love in Louis Vuitton Imagination. Here is how it compares.

A closer look

Love the clean citrus-and-tea character of Louis Vuitton Imagination, but want it with more muscle? That is the appeal of Arabiyat Prestige Marwa Extrait. The original Marwa earned a following as an Imagination dupe; the new 60 ml Extrait takes that familiar DNA and gives it a fuller, more persistent feel. Early owners often describe it as smoother and stronger than the Eau de Parfum.

This is not a secret Louis Vuitton formula in a different bottle. It is an independent fragrance with its own ginger, incense and woody edge. But if the bright tea-and-amber style of Imagination is what brought you here, Marwa Extrait makes a persuasive case for itself—especially if the original Marwa disappeared too quickly on your skin.

Why the Imagination comparison fits

Louis Vuitton describes Imagination through citrus, black tea and a generous dose of Ambrox. Arabiyat Prestige builds Marwa Extrait around bergamot and ginger, tea and incense, then ambroxan, guaiac wood and musk. The shared citrus–tea–ambrox thread is easy to understand. It is also why Marwa is so often discussed in the same breath as Imagination.

The difference is in the texture. Imagination's appeal is its airy, almost weightless freshness. Marwa Extrait leans into a denser, spicier version of that idea. Some wearers find it remarkably close; others notice more floral smoke and wood than they want from an Imagination substitute. Think of it as a strong Imagination-style alternative, not a guaranteed one-to-one replacement.

How it wears: citrus, tea and a smoky finish

Ginger and bergamot give the opening its snap. Petitgrain adds a green, slightly bitter edge that keeps the citrus from feeling sweet. The ginger is an important part of Marwa's personality: where Imagination can feel transparent, Marwa announces itself with more spice.

Then the tea takes over. It is the note that connects this fragrance most clearly to the Imagination conversation. Floral notes soften the middle, while incense gives the clean tea accord a little shadow. By the drydown, ambroxan, musk and guaiac wood make the finish smooth, woody and noticeably more substantial than the sparkling start.

That fuller drydown is the tradeoff. If you want Imagination's exact airy transparency, Marwa Extrait may feel a little too rich. If you want the same fresh-tea direction with more body, that richness is the point.

Does Marwa Extrait perform better?

Performance is a big part of the Extrait's appeal. In Parfumo's owner reviews, several wearers describe it as smoother and longer-lasting than original Marwa. Others find the differences smaller, or prefer the lighter Eau de Parfum. The Extrait has earned attention as a stronger-wearing Imagination-style alternative, but the reports are not unanimous.

Not every wear report is a victory lap. Some people get all-day persistence but a scent that moves closer to the skin after a few hours; others find the Extrait heavier than expected. A stronger fragrance is not necessarily a louder one from morning to night. The sensible takeaway is that Marwa Extrait has more staying-power appeal than the original for many wearers, but no bottle can promise the same projection on every skin type.

Should you buy the Extrait if you own Marwa EDP?

Arabiyat Prestige lists the original Marwa Eau de Parfum as a 100 ml bottle. Its notes are strikingly close to the Extrait: the same bergamot, petitgrain and ginger opening, the same tea and incense heart, and the same guaiac wood, ambroxan and musk base. The EDP names geranium in the middle; the Extrait's description simply says floral notes. Arabiyat Prestige calls the new version richer and smoother.

If you loved the EDP but wished it lasted longer, the Extrait is the obvious version to sample. If your EDP already performs well, the overlap may be too great to justify another bottle—especially when the Extrait comes in 60 ml rather than 100 ml. This is an upgrade in weight and polish, not a completely different fragrance.

A quick note on the bottle

Each Marwa Extrait box contains one of five designs: Icon, Maverick, Enigma, Muse or Charmer. The fragrance is presented as one scent across the collection, but the design is a surprise and cannot be selected. It is a fun extra, not a reason to buy blind if you are unsure about the juice.

The verdict

Marwa Extrait is for the person who likes the Louis Vuitton Imagination DNA but wants a firmer handshake: bright citrus and tea up front, then a deeper, longer-wearing woody-musky trail. It is one of the more compelling strong-performing takes on that style. It is also unmistakably Marwa, with enough spice and incense to separate it from the airy Louis Vuitton original.

Start with a sample if an exact Imagination match is your priority. If the original Marwa appealed to you but felt fleeting, the Extrait deserves a closer look. Explore the Marwa Extrait listing at Chaos Fragrances for the bottle and current retailer options; prices and availability can change.
