Eros Flame
Flame takes second. It was the first Eros flanker to take a different direction from the standard DNA I associate with EDT, EDP and Parfum. The orange gives it a creamier feel, with a slightly spicier, fresher approach. It's my first choice when I want a twist on the familiar Eros smell.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.

Scent profile
A creamier orange direction that feels slightly spicier and fresher to me. That departure from the standard EDT, EDP and Parfum character is what makes Flame appealing.
Performance
Our dedicated Eros longevity guide covers Flame's wear-time estimate. Its second-place position here comes from the creamier orange character and the slightly spicier, fresher twist I enjoy.
Versatility
Flame is the one I would compare with Parfum when I want a different take on Eros. The creamier orange, extra spice and fresher feel give it a clear distinction for me.
Value
I would choose Flame for the way it changes the scent. Compare it with Parfum to decide whether you prefer creamy orange and a slightly fresher, spicier feel or the familiar Eros character I rank first.

Versace
Eros Energy
Eros Energy takes third as the first version that feels like a true summer edition to me. The lemon and lime opening is very bright, punchy and sour. I get the slightest hint of a Creed Aventus resemblance lingering in the scent, but nowhere near enough to call it a dupe.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try Energy if you want the Eros I see as a true summer edition, with a very bright, punchy and sour lemon and lime opening.
Consider another if
Compare Parfum if you want the familiar Eros smell, or Flame if creamy orange sounds better than Energy's sour citrus opening. I wouldn't choose Energy specifically as an Aventus dupe.

Scent, wear & buying advice
Scent profile
Very bright, punchy and sour lemon and lime up front. There is a slight lingering resemblance to Creed Aventus for me, but I wouldn't call Energy a dupe.
Performance
The separate Eros longevity guide provides Energy's wear-time estimate. Its place in this ranking comes from the bright, punchy citrus opening and how much more like a summer edition it feels to me.
Versatility
Summer is the reason I would reach for Energy. Its very bright, sour lemon and lime opening gives me a different use for it from the familiar character of Parfum.
Value
Energy earns its place for the summer direction it brings to Eros. I would try it for the bright citrus itself; the slight Aventus resemblance I notice isn't enough for me to recommend it as a dupe.
04 Our overall ranking
Versace
Eros Najim
Najim comes in fourth, but it's by far the biggest departure from the rest of the line. This is Eros for people who don't usually like Eros. Caramel, incense, oud and cardamom make it feel much heavier and richer to me, moving away from the vanilla and fruit character of the familiar DNA.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try Najim if you don't usually enjoy Eros and want to explore the much heavier, richer direction I get from caramel, incense, oud and cardamom.
Consider another if
Compare Parfum if you want the familiar Eros character, Flame for creamy orange, or Energy if your priority is bright summer citrus.

Scent profile
Caramel, incense, oud and cardamom give Najim a much heavier, richer feel. To me, this is the biggest departure from the vanilla and fruit character I associate with the rest of Eros.
Performance
Our dedicated Eros longevity guide covers Najim's wear-time estimate. I am describing its heavier, richer scent here, with caramel, incense, oud and cardamom creating the biggest departure in this ranking.
Versatility
Najim is the one I would compare if the familiar Eros character hasn't worked for you. Its heavier, richer direction gives it a different reason to try it, even though I prefer the three versions above it overall.
Value
Najim adds something different to the line for me. I would consider it for the caramel, incense, oud and cardamom rather than expecting another version of the familiar vanilla and fruit character.

Eros EDP
Eros EDP comes in fifth. If you want the original Eros smell, I think Parfum is almost always the best choice over EDT or even this EDP. I'd compare them directly, but Parfum's performance and scent trail give me the clearer reason to choose it.

Choose it if
Try EDP if you specifically want to compare the familiar Eros character across the different concentrations before choosing a bottle.

Scent, wear & buying advice
Scent profile
EDP stays with the familiar Eros character, alongside EDT and Parfum. If that original smell is the goal, I still prefer Parfum overall.
Performance
The dedicated Eros longevity guide provides EDP's wear-time estimate. My preference is to choose Parfum for the stronger feel and good scent trail I enjoy alongside the familiar Eros character.
Versatility
I would compare EDP directly with Parfum if you want the original Eros smell. Parfum is almost always the one I would choose from that side of the line.
Value
I would generally put my money toward Parfum when shopping for the original Eros smell. EDP is worth comparing, but it doesn't give me as clear a reason to choose it over my top pick.

Eros EDT
Eros EDT comes in last. I find it over-worn, and the reformulated version doesn't give me the performance I want. Any of the five versions above it would be a better choice for me. Parfum is where I would start if you still want the familiar Eros character.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try EDT if you specifically want to compare the original Eros with the later versions and decide whether you share my preferences.

Scent, wear & buying advice
Scent profile
The original Eros character is familiar, but I find EDT over-worn. Parfum keeps the side of Eros I want while giving me the stronger performance and scent trail I prefer.
Performance
The reformulated EDT doesn't give me the performance I want, which is part of why I put it last. The separate Eros longevity guide supplies the wear-time estimate; Parfum is the improvement I prefer.
Versatility
I would choose one of the five versions above EDT. Parfum is my starting point for the familiar smell, with Flame, Energy and Najim offering different directions to explore.
Value
Any of the versions above EDT would be a better choice for me. I would start with Parfum for the familiar character and stronger performance, then compare the flankers if you want something different.
The final word
Which one should you buy?
Eros Parfum is my first choice for the familiar character with the stronger performance and good scent trail I've wanted from the EDT. Flame follows for its creamier orange direction and slightly spicier, fresher feel. Energy is my summer option for its bright, punchy, sour citrus opening; the slight Aventus resemblance I get doesn't make it a dupe to me. Najim is the biggest departure, bringing a heavier, richer mix of caramel, incense, oud and cardamom. I would generally choose Parfum over EDP for the original Eros smell. EDT finishes last because I find it over-worn and prefer any of the five versions above it.
