Which Viktor&Rolf Spicebomb Is Best? 8 Editions Ranked
Spicebomb Extreme is my top pick. The tobacco and vanilla balance the spice and give it a more refined, mature feel than the original EDT. Infrared EDP comes second for its unique resinous chili pepper character. The original EDT takes third and is still hard to beat for the money on a good discounted offer. Infrared EDT follows for warm red-fruit sweetness and cinnamon, then Dark Leather for strong leather and tobacco. Night Vision EDP and EDT bring fresher directions, while Metallic Musk finishes last for its more generic feel to me.

Viktor&Rolf
Spicebomb Extreme Eau de Parfum
Extreme is my top pick. To me, this is Spicebomb EDT twenty years older: more refined and mature. The tobacco and vanilla blend is timeless, and it brings a nice balance to the spice of the original. It keeps the character I like about Spicebomb while giving me a more polished version of it.

Scent, wear & buying advice
Scent profile
Tobacco and vanilla are the main draw. They balance the spice and give Extreme the more refined, mature character that puts it above the original EDT for me.
Performance
Our dedicated Spicebomb longevity guide supplies Extreme's wear-time estimate. Its first-place position here comes from the tobacco and vanilla balance and the more refined character I get compared with the original EDT.
Versatility
Extreme is where I would start for that familiar Spicebomb character in a more mature form. I would compare Infrared EDP if you want the different resinous spice that earns it second place here.
Value
Extreme is my first choice overall because of how well the tobacco and vanilla balance the spice. The original EDT is still worth comparing if a good discounted offer makes value your deciding factor.
02 Our overall ranking
Viktor&Rolf
Spicebomb Infrared EDP
Infrared EDP takes second. The chili pepper and resin create a unique kind of resinous spice that stands out to me in the line. It's a different direction from Extreme's tobacco and vanilla, and the one I would compare next if that peppery, resinous character is what you're after.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try Infrared EDP if the combination of chili pepper and resin sounds more appealing than the fruitier cinnamon direction of Infrared EDT.
Consider another if
Compare Extreme for my favorite tobacco and vanilla balance, or Infrared EDT if you want red-fruit sweetness with your cinnamon spice.

Scent profile
Chili pepper and resin give this its distinctive resinous spice. That combination is what separates it from the tobacco and vanilla balance I prefer in Extreme.
Performance
The separate Spicebomb longevity guide provides Infrared EDP's wear-time estimate. I put it second here for the unique chili pepper and resin combination rather than ranking it by hours alone.
Versatility
I would compare Infrared EDP with Extreme first: resinous chili pepper on one side, tobacco and vanilla on the other. Infrared EDT is the fruitier cinnamon direction to try alongside it.
Value
Infrared EDP is my second choice because the resinous spice gives it a clear reason to exist in this line. Compare it with Infrared EDT before buying if you're choosing between the two red bottles.

Viktor&Rolf
Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb EDT
The original EDT takes third. This is one of the rare times the original fragrance still ranks high on my list. On a good discounted offer, it's hard to beat for the money. Extreme is my favorite version of the scent, but I would still give the original a serious look before buying one of the lower-ranked flankers.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Choose the original EDT if you like the familiar Spicebomb character and find a discounted bottle that makes it the stronger value for you.

Compare Extreme if you would rather pay for the more refined tobacco and vanilla balance that makes it my overall favorite.

Scent profile
This is the original Spicebomb character that I compare the flankers against. Extreme feels more mature and refined to me, with tobacco and vanilla bringing more balance to the spice.
Performance
Our Spicebomb longevity guide supplies the original EDT's wear-time estimate. My third-place ranking here reflects how well the original still holds up for me, especially when the discounted price makes sense.
Versatility
I would keep the original EDT on the shortlist alongside Extreme and Infrared EDP. It's still one of the versions I would compare first, even with all the later flankers available.
Value
A good discounted bottle is what makes the original EDT especially compelling to me. Compare the live retailer offers and bottle sizes before deciding whether it makes more sense than Extreme for your budget.

Spicebomb Infrared EDT
Infrared EDT comes in fourth. The red fruits give it a warm, fruity sweetness alongside the cinnamon spice. That fruitier direction is the reason I would try it. I prefer the resinous chili pepper character of Infrared EDP overall, but the EDT has its own appeal if you want that red-fruit sweetness.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try Infrared EDT if you want red-fruit sweetness with cinnamon and prefer that combination to the resinous spice of Infrared EDP.

Scent profile
Red fruits bring the warm, fruity sweetness, with cinnamon keeping the spice present. It's the fruitier of the two Infrared versions in the way I compare them.
Performance
The dedicated Spicebomb longevity guide provides Infrared EDT's wear-time estimate. Its place here comes from the warm red-fruit sweetness and cinnamon, with Infrared EDP's resinous spice remaining my preference.
Versatility
Compare the two Infrared versions by the direction you want: warm red fruits and cinnamon in the EDT, or the resinous chili pepper character I prefer in the EDP.
Value
I would buy Infrared EDT specifically for its warm, fruity sweetness and cinnamon. If you're choosing between the Infrared bottles without a scent preference yet, the EDP is the one I would try first.

Viktor&Rolf
Spicebomb Dark Leather
Dark Leather takes fifth. I get strong leather and tobacco, with some fresh spice in the mix as well. The leather and tobacco are the main reason to try it for me. I still prefer the balance in Extreme and the resinous direction of Infrared EDP, which keeps Dark Leather below those two in my ranking.

Try Dark Leather if strong leather and tobacco with some fresh spice are the qualities you want to compare within the line.

Strong leather and tobacco lead the scent for me, with some fresh spice alongside them. It's the leather-focused direction I would compare with the other Spicebomb versions.
Performance
Our dedicated Spicebomb longevity guide supplies Dark Leather's wear-time estimate. The strong leather and tobacco character is why I would consider it here; its fifth-place position reflects my overall scent preference.
Versatility
I would try Dark Leather when the leather and tobacco combination is the part that interests you. Extreme is my preference for tobacco with vanilla, while Infrared EDP is my pick for the resinous spice direction.
Value
Dark Leather makes the most sense to me if its strong leather and tobacco are what you want. I would compare the higher-ranked versions first if you're simply looking for a first Spicebomb bottle.

Spicebomb Night Vision EDP
Night Vision EDP takes sixth. It's a fresher, spicy take on the Spicebomb DNA, with pistachio giving it a nutty undertone. That nutty character is what makes this version interesting to me. I prefer it to the EDT's apple-led direction, though I would still start with the five versions above it overall.

Scent profile
I get a fresher spicy take on the DNA, with pistachio adding a nutty undertone. That combination is the main reason I would compare this version with Night Vision EDT.
Performance
The existing Spicebomb longevity guide reports a separate estimate for Night Vision EDP. Its position here comes from the fresher spice and pistachio undertone, rather than using that performance order as an overall ranking.
Versatility
Compare Night Vision EDP for the nutty pistachio undertone and Night Vision EDT for its apple direction. The EDP is the one I prefer from that pair, with Extreme remaining my overall first choice.
Value
I would choose Night Vision EDP for its fresher spice and pistachio undertone specifically. If those aren't the qualities you want, I would compare the five versions above it before deciding where to spend your money.

Spicebomb Night Vision Eau de Toilette
Night Vision EDT comes in seventh. It's another fresher take on Spicebomb, using apple in this version. That apple direction is the reason to compare it with the EDP. Scent profile
Apple stands out in this fresher take on Spicebomb. I would compare it directly with the fresher spice and nutty undertone I get from Night Vision EDP.
Performance
The dedicated Spicebomb longevity guide supplies Night Vision EDT's wear-time estimate. I keep it separate from Night Vision EDP, with seventh place here reflecting my preference for the EDP's nutty direction.
Versatility
Night Vision EDT is the apple direction to compare if you want one of the fresher versions. I prefer the EDP from the Night Vision pair and the five editions above both for my overall shortlist.
Value
I would try Night Vision EDT if its apple direction is the specific draw. Otherwise, Night Vision EDP is my preference from the pair, and Extreme is where I would start across the whole line.

Viktor&Rolf
Spicebomb Metallic Musk EDP
Metallic Musk finishes last for me. It's musk-forward, with aldehydes and plenty of pepper as well. I find it a bit more generic than the other versions here. It could still be worth trying if that musky direction is what you want, but I would put my money toward one of the seven above it first.
Editorial wear estimate. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
Choose it if
Try Metallic Musk if a musk-forward scent with aldehydes and plenty of pepper is the direction you specifically want to compare.

Scent, wear & buying advice
Scent profile
Musk leads for me, with aldehydes and plenty of pepper in the mix. The overall result feels a bit more generic to me than the directions I prefer elsewhere in the line.
Performance
Our Spicebomb longevity guide provides Metallic Musk's wear-time estimate. Its last-place position here comes from the more generic feel I get from the scent, rather than from judging it by longevity alone.
Versatility
I would compare Metallic Musk specifically for its musky, peppery direction. Extreme, Infrared EDP and the original EDT would be my starting points if you're choosing a first bottle without that particular preference.
Value
Metallic Musk would be my last choice because the scent feels a bit more generic to me. I would put my money toward one of the seven above it unless its musk-forward character is exactly what you want.
The final word
Which one should you buy?
Extreme is where I would start for the tobacco and vanilla balance and the more mature, refined take on the original. Infrared EDP is my second choice for its resinous chili pepper character. The original EDT is still worth a serious look when the discounted offer makes sense. Infrared EDT brings the warm red fruits and cinnamon, while Dark Leather is the leather and tobacco direction to compare. I prefer Night Vision EDP's nutty undertone to the EDT's apple direction. Metallic Musk is my last choice because it feels more generic to me.
