Which Rabanne Invictus Is Best? 8 Editions Ranked
Invictus Aqua is my top pick, specifically the 2016 and 2024 releases. Its strong, synthetic character is part of what I love, and it's a wonderful summer scent. The product linked here is the 2024 edition. Victory Elixir takes second for incense, vanilla and tonka in winter, followed by Victory Absolu's smoky patchouli and frankincense. The gold-bottle Elixir adds a salty twist, Parfum goes fresh and soapy, and Victory EDP Extrême offers powdery vanilla. The classic EDT is lower on my shopping list, while Platinum's aromatic direction has never worked for me.

Invictus Aqua 2024
Aqua is my top pick, and it will always be a staple in my collection. The 2016 and 2024 releases are the ones I mean specifically. The 2018 version took a smoother direction, which sounds good in theory, but part of what I love about Aqua is its strong, synthetic character. That edge adds personality. It's a wonderful summer scent.

Invictus Victory Absolu
Victory Absolu takes third. It's another strong, smoky take on Invictus, with patchouli and frankincense standing out to me. Victory Elixir still has the edge for my taste, but Absolu is close behind and gives me more reason to buy a bottle than the earlier Victory EDP Extrême.

Try the gold-bottle Elixir if you like the sweeter direction of these flankers and want to compare its salty twist.

Invictus Parfum
Parfum takes fifth with a surprisingly soapy direction. That isn't what I expected from the name, but it gives this version its own appeal. If you want a fresh Invictus without going all the way toward Aqua, this is the one I would compare first.

Invictus Platinum
Platinum finishes last for me. I've never liked this one. It's by far the most aromatic Invictus here to my nose, but that direction has never worked for me personally. I would choose one of the other versions before it, with Aqua still being my first pick.

The very aromatic direction is what defines Platinum for me. It's the most aromatic version in this comparison to my nose, and one that has never worked for my taste.
Performance

Which Invictus Aqua version do I mean?
My first-place choice specifically refers to the 2016 and 2024 releases. The 2018 version took a smoother direction, but I prefer the strong, synthetic character of the other two. That edge is part of Aqua's personality to me. The product profile, notes, offers and inherited wear-time estimate on this page refer to the current 2024 edition, rather than treating all Aqua releases as the same fragrance.
The final word
Which one should you buy?
Aqua is the bottle I would buy first and the one that will always be a staple in my collection, particularly the 2016 and 2024 releases. Victory Elixir is my next choice for its incense, vanilla and tonka blend in winter, while Victory Absolu takes third for its strong, smoky patchouli and frankincense. The gold-bottle Elixir brings a salty twist, and Parfum is the fresh, soapy option I would compare if Aqua isn't the direction you want. Victory EDP Extrême is nice, but I prefer Elixir and Absolu. I would spend my money on the updated flankers before the classic EDT, and Platinum remains my last choice.
How we ranked this family
This ranking reflects my personal scent preferences across these eight Invictus editions. The positions follow the differences I describe in Aqua's character, incense, sweetness, smoke, salt, soap, powder and aromatics, rather than the order in the separate performance comparison. My Aqua preference specifically includes the 2016 and 2024 releases; this page links the current 2024 product and uses the dedicated longevity guide's estimate for that edition only. Product details, illustrated notes and current retailer offers come from existing Chaos catalog profiles. Wear-time estimates come from the dedicated Invictus longevity guide and do not represent new testing for this ranking. Skin, weather and application affect performance.
