What is Lattafa Mayar a dupe of?
Lattafa Mayar is a clone of Mugler Angel Nova EDP. Raspberry, lychee and rose explain why these two get compared. This is the original pink Mayar, with a fruity-floral profile, rather than Mayar Natural Intense or Cherry Intense.
If you're coming from Angel Nova, the useful question is which part of it you want to find in Mayar. The fruit and flowers give them common ground, but the base notes take different directions.
Shared fruit, different foundations
Mayar lists raspberry, litchi and violet leaf up top. Peony, white rose and jasmine form the floral middle, followed by musk and vanilla. Litchi is another spelling of lychee, so that part of the two panels is a direct match rather than a different fruit.
Angel Nova EDP also starts with raspberry and lychee, then puts Damask rose at the center. Its listed base is Akigalawood and benzoin. That gives the Mugler a woody, resinous part of the comparison that you won't find listed in the same way in Mayar's musk-and-vanilla base.
The overlap makes the pairing useful, but it doesn't mean the two fragrances are interchangeable. Mayar adds peony, jasmine and violet leaf to the picture, while Angel Nova has that more focused rose-and-woods structure. We'd look at the whole profile, especially the finish you enjoy, rather than buying on the shared raspberry note alone.
Who should put Mayar on their list?
We'd consider Mayar if raspberry, lychee and a floral middle are what draw you to Angel Nova. If the woody base is your favorite part of the Mugler, we'd try Mayar first rather than assume its vanilla and musk will give you the same result. A different take can still be enjoyable without replacing every detail of the original.
Check that the retailer listing is for Mayar EDP and that the Mugler reference is Angel Nova EDP. Original Angel and Angel Nova EDT are separate fragrances. Compare sizes and packaging too, since an Angel Nova refill isn't the same purchase as a spray bottle.
