What Is Khadlaj Shiyaaka Shadow a Dupe Of?

Khadlaj Shiyaaka Shadow is commonly compared with Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt Eau de Parfum Électrique. That's the original 2022 Cobalt EDP in the blue lightning-bolt bottle. The pink pepper, lavender and woody notes are a good starting point for understanding the pairing.

Why Bad Boy Cobalt?

The comparison appears in wearer reviews of Shiyaaka Shadow, including a direct comparison with Cobalt. It's a useful lead if that's the scent you're shopping around, though it doesn't mean every part of the two fragrances will line up.

Khadlaj's published notes open with pink pepper, grapefruit and lavender. Cedarwood, dry amber and cashmere wood make up the heart, followed by musk, patchouli and moss. That's the note list to use when looking at Shadow; some retailer descriptions give it a different set of notes.

Carolina Herrera describes Cobalt with pink pepper and lavender too, then geranium and black plum over truffle, vetiver and cedarwood. Plum and truffle are distinctive parts of Cobalt's description.
